The greatest gift we can give children is the space to explore their inner world through play.

Sam's story

Sam was a six-year-old boy who found it very hard to control his body and feelings. He was aggressive at school and needed an adult with him all the time. Teachers were worried and scared.

In play therapy, Sam pushed boundaries a lot, like a 'King Kong'. The therapist was not scared. They played rough games where Sam could be powerful but safe. The therapist helped Sam think about his big feelings.

Later, Sam played with messy things like paint and water. He learned to slow down and build dens to control his space. He began to calm down and talk more. School saw changes too.

Sam learned how to play with others. He made friends. He also learned to be caring and nurturing. Staff said Sam could now make mistakes and learn from them. The Headteacher said Sam is doing great in class now and doesn't need constant help.
