Our Board

Our Board of Trustees brings expertise in education, health, social care, and community development, guiding us strategically. Alongside them, our supporters and patrons champion our mission and help us extend our reach.

Pauline

Pauline chairs the board and draws on 30 years’ experience of working in public health in Scotland including practice and strategy with children and families from frontline health visiting through to leading national public health programmes including on childhood adversity.

Roles have included research, development, leadership and management in health and community development projects and services. She is currently working in health protection contributing to the pandemic response.

Susannah

Susannah is a lawyer by profession who worked in the private sector specialising in real estate across Edinburgh and Glasgow before moving into the public sector, focussing on economic development.

With Kids’ values and purpose are important to her because of her links into the social work and fostering networks in Scotland.

Outside of the office, Susannah enjoys the peace of hillwalking with her cocker spaniel but also the buzz of adrenaline activities like bungee jumping and white water kayaking (without the spaniel!).

Elena

Elena's professional background is in museums and heritage, previously working with audiences, including families and schools, and currently working in museum sector-facing roles.

Becoming familiar with the work of With Kids in 2021, Elena brings a local community voice to the Board, as well as experience in fundraising, built heritage and project management and engaging with Higher Education Institutions, while closely considering issues of equity and intersectionality.

A passionate advocate for the role that Play Therapy can have in the lives of children and the wider community, Elena supports the aspects of prevention and whole family approach that With Kids promotes and implements.

Barbara

Barbara has a background in finance and is a chartered accountant by profession.

She has worked in both the private and public sector, latterly as a senior civil servant with the Scottish Government.  She was formerly the Director of People for the Scottish Government and for the Scottish Prison Service, and was the Director of Communications, Ministerial Support and Facilities.

She now is an associate consultant working on projects across the UK and in Europe and sits on the Board of Scottish Ballet.

Away from work, she enjoys dance and theatre, travel, reading, knitting and walking her dog.

Leanne

Leanne, a mum to a neurodivergent teen, is a dedicated advocate for parental engagement, equality, and education, with experience of representing parents’ views across Scotland. As chairperson of the Glasgow City Parents Group, she has led projects that influence educational strategies and promote inclusion.

A seasoned Communications and Engagement Manager, Leanne has crafted strategies across public, third, and private sectors, including roles at Victim Support Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

Her commitment to creating career opportunities for young people is evident in her work on various skills boards, shaping pathways to success in the digital and tech industries.

Pam

Pam has a keen interest in equalities and improving the outcomes for all children. She has worked in the field of children, young people and families throughout her career as a social and economic development consultant.

In her spare time, she enjoys open spaces and fresh air through hill walking, open water swimming and gardening.

Chloe

Chloe is passionate about equity and safeguarding. She works in partnerships, bringing people and organisations together to improve outcomes for children and communities.

She previously led a centre at a charity dedicated to widening access to education and supporting young people from underrepresented backgrounds to achieve their potential.

Outside of work, Chloe enjoys performing and teaching improvised comedy.
